Revised Covid News
In response to on-going concerns surrounding Covid-19, we continue to strive to offer worship that is joyful and life-giving, whilst also taking precautions to keep everyone safe.
Singing
We have reintroduced sung music to our 10.00 am Sunday services, and all services of Evensong.
Spacing in St Dunstan’s
The pews in St Dunstan’s to the east of the crossing are free of restrictions. The pews at the west end of the church are kept as an area for those who wish to remain socially distanced. Please ask a sidesperson if you require assistance.
Masks and Ventilation
The wearing of masks is a personal choice; we warmly encourage their use, as this is a good way of keeping people safe. Likewise, we will look to maintain good ventilation in the church wherever possible.
Services with smaller congregations
We have many services where is a smaller congregation and no singing: every Wednesday at 10.00 am, first Sunday of the month at 8.00 am, and the second Sunday at Owlswick at 9.00 am.
Bell Ringing at St Dunstan’s
Following the relaxation of restrictions related to the pandemic, we are once again able to ring the church bells at St Dunstan’s. The bells will be rung prior to the 10.00 am service on Sundays, and for practice between 7.30 and 9.00 pm on Thursday evenings.
We will endeavour to also give notice here of any additional occasions when the bells will be rung prior to a special service.
St Dunstan's Church is now open daily from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
The Church may be closed to visitors occasionally, for example, during music practice.
Safeguarding
At St Dunstan’s and St Peter’s, the wellbeing and safety of all within our community is of paramount importance.
